Tatoo addiction is not formally recognized, even as a behavioral addiction. However, some people describe the process of getting more and more tattoos as a kind of addiction. This article explores some of the addictive qualities of being tattooed. Some people have acknowledged the existence of adrenalin addiction making it one of the most likely culprits in causing an addiction to tattoos.
[Adrenalin= A hormone secreted by the adrenal glands, especially in conditions of stress, increasing rates of blood circulation, breathing, and carbohydrate metabolism and preparing muscles for exertion]
Unlike adrenaline, which we all now know is produced in the renal glands, There is also endorphins. Endorphins is secreted also by the brain and nervous system and having a number of physiological functions. They are peptides that activate the body’s opiate receptors, causing an analgesic effect. So what does all this mean ? We’re still questioning the matter if tattoos are addictive or not even though Some people report an adrenaline rush when they have their tattoo done. Your brain may even be releasing pleasure chemicals. The addiction could be physical, too. Some people may have an already addictive personality or behaviour. Which now we would start to consider to believe that tattoos are additive. But hide behind personalities and behavioral addictions which fall under the category of mental matters. Which falls under an entire story so here’s the thing I think we can all agree that getting tattoos is a form of financial harms since many save and will sometimes put and or find themselves in financial debt just to get a tattoo just like a drug user would so here’s the question at hand if a drug user is an addict when they put themselves in financial debts just to name one form of troubles then what’s the difference of a person putting or being in the same predicament to get a tattoo?.
